You need to know the difference between your Epic name and your console ID.
PC/Switch/Mobile: You will see your new Epic Games display name immediately in games like Fortnite.
PlayStation/Xbox: You will still see your PSN ID or Xbox Gamertag while playing on these consoles. Changing your Epic name does not change your console ID. You must change those directly through Sony or Microsoft.
You must follow these rules to save your new name successfully.
Frequency: You can only change your name once every 14 days.
Length: Your name must be between 3 and 16 characters.
Content: You cannot use offensive language, hate speech, or impersonate famous users.
Characters: You can use letters, numbers, spaces, and standard underscores (_), dashes (-), and periods (.).
