You can get your money back for a game if you regret the purchase. You must meet specific time limits to use the self-service refund tool.
You qualify for a refund only if you meet two rules.
Time since purchase: You bought the game less than 14 days ago.
Playtime: You played the game for less than 2 hours.
Note: You cannot refund a game if you have been banned from it for violating the terms of service.
You complete this process entirely through your web browser.
Go to epicgames.com/account.
Sign in to your Epic Games account.
Click Transactions in the left-hand menu.
Find the game you want to refund in the list.
Click the title of the game to expand the order details.
Click the Request Refund button.
Select a reason for the refund in the pop-up window.
Click Confirm Refund.
You will see a confirmation notification at the top of your screen. You also receive an email when the refund processes.
You might not see the “Request Refund” button for a few reasons.
Ineligible: You exceeded the 14-day or 2-hour limit.
Virtual Currency: You cannot refund V-Bucks or other currency packs through this menu.
Bundles: You generally cannot refund individual items from a sale bundle.
You usually receive the money back to your original payment method quickly. However, it can take 3 to 14 business days depending on your bank or credit card company.
